It took me several days to readjust after arriving back in Colorado. I was exhausted, jet-lagged and very sick. But thankfully, with some medical help from the Air Force Academy, I started to feel much better. Good enough, in fact, to go out and hike around a little bit in one of my favorite places in town - The Garden of the Gods.
It was extremely windy out that day, but I still managed to get some great pictures of the beautiful red rock formations. Being out in the crisp mountain air, and looking at Pikes Peak was one of the things that really helped me feel at home.
Sunshine, beautiful scenery and photography - what could be better?
