Start of Another Summer with PYOC!

A couple weeks ago we kicked off another eventful summer for our youth group with a BBQ at the ski lodge on base. It was an exciting night because we welcomed in the new seventh graders who are now old enough to take part in our ministry! We set out a hefty spread of burgers and brats, fruit and veggies, chips and cookies for the kids to feast on. But most of the party was centered around some healthy outdoor competition. Before dinner the girls and boys faced off in a game of ultimate frisbee. Then after dinner they started an epic game of capture the flag that ranged all over the side of the hill there. They had a great time running, screaming and strategizing. The only downside was that, as the sun went down, the mosquitos came out. So everyone took time during one pas or another to duck inside for some bug spray before rushing back out to rejoin the game. Unfortunately, the event ended before the game did. So I'm thinking we will need to stage a rematch later this summer. =^)

I didn't take many pictures, but below are a few snapshots of the fun.
